Site Engineers currently required to join a large-scale Energy projects based in the North East. Works are ongoing, and the ideal candidate will have experience of overseeing RC works, heavy civils and have a keen eye for quality control. The engineers may be required to work a combination of days & nights as required by the project, in order to meet critical deadlines. This is a long-term opportunity working with a Tier 1 contractor on a high-profile scheme. You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of works on site, ensuring quality, safety, and programme targets are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting out for civil engineering works including earthworks, ducts, drainage and associated infrastructure
  • Carrying out quality assurance checks and ensuring works are delivered to specification
  • Managing as-built records and site documentation
  • Supporting subcontractors and coordinating site activities
  • Ensuring compliance with RAMS, ITPs, and project specifications
  • Maintaining accurate site diaries and reporting progress to the Senior Engineer / Sub Agent
  • Liaising with site teams, planners, and design teams to resolve engineering issues

Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on major infrastructure or energy projects
  • Strong setting out experience using GPS / Total Station
  • Experience with QA processes, ITPs, and documentation
  • Background in utilities, energy, or heavy civil engineering (REC works experience highly desirable)
  • Valid CSCS card (essential)
  • HND / Degree in Civil Engineering or similar (preferred)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

Desirable

  • Previous experience on energy or power sector projects
  • Knowledge of permit systems and environmental compliance
  • Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced site environment
