Setting Out Engineer - Roads and Earthworks

We are partnering with a leading specialist subcontractor delivering complex roads and earthworks packages on several projects at Sizewell C. We are seeking an experienced Engineering Surveyor to join on a freelance basis, providing accurate setting out and survey control across the works. The Role Carry out precise setting out for roads, drainage, and earthworks packages. Establish and maintain survey control points and benchmarks. Produce as-built surveys, QA documentation, and ITP compliance. Operate and maintain surveying equipment (Leica/Trimble Total Stations, GPS). Liaise with Site Engineers, Foremen, and Project Managers to ensure programme alignment. Ensure compliance with health & safety and site procedures. About You Proven experience as an Engineering Surveyor or Setting Out Engineer on civil engineering projects. Strong background in roads, highways, and earthworks. Proficient with Leica or Trimble equipment and associated software. CSCS card essential; SMSTS/SSSTS desirable. Ability to work independently and deliver under tight deadlines. Experience with subcontractor delivery models. Familiarity with NEC contracts and QA processes
