CarmichaelUK are seeking a Senior Planner to work on a Tier 1 Highways project in the Norfolk area. Candidates must be able to work on site at least 3 days a week.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that the programme content is functionally compliant with the planning procedures and guidance.
- Skilled in identifying planning scope, major constraints, and contract requirements alongside identifying major quantities and factors affecting the programme.
- Displaying and evaluating the project critical path, advising the project team of the results and any appropriate corrective action alongside producing and maintaining project baselines, and executing the change control process as appropriate.
- Resource Management: Expertise in managing labour, equipment, and materials efficiently to meet project objectives while minimizing costs and delays.
Knowledge Required:
- Competent in project management tools and software like Excel, MS Project, Primavera P6.
- Knowledge of construction, including construction methodology, various phases, processes, and requirements, to facilitate effective project planning.
- Knowledge in project scheduling, including the ability to create, manage, and optimize project schedules using industry-standard tools.
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in successfully planning and managing projects using planning software like P6/Microsoft Project.
- Previous experience in managing relationships with project stakeholders, demonstrating effective communication and interpersonal skills.
