We are currently looking to engage an experienced Senior Piling Engineer to support works on a key infrastructure project based in Birmingham. This is an initial 3-month contract, with potential for a short-term extension depending on project requirements.
This role is suited to a hands-on piling specialist with strong contractor-side experience delivering piling works.
The RoleYou will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of piling operations on site, working closely with the site team to ensure works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications.
Key responsibilities will include:- Overseeing and coordinating piling operations on site
- Producing and reviewing RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
- Preparing and managing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Ensuring quality, compliance, and site standards are maintained
- Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and supervisors
- Monitoring progress and resolving technical issues where required
- Strong piling engineering experience, working for a contractor delivering piling works
- Experience working directly with piling rigs, crews, and site teams
- Proven ability to produce RAMS and ITPs
- Background in CFA / deep foundation works
- Must not be a setting out engineer – this is not a survey/setting out role
- Immediate start available
