We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer / Section Engineer / Sub Agent to join a leading Tier 1 contractor on a major infrastructure project based in Oxford. This is a long-term opportunity offering stability and the chance to work on high-profile works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing site engineering activities, including surveying and setting out
  • Managing and mentoring junior engineers and site staff
  • Ensuring compliance with QA/QC and quality standards
  • Maintaining accurate site records, documentation, and site diaries
  • Producing and managing look-ahead programmes
  • Carrying out material take-offs and quantifying aggregates from drawings
  • Supporting delivery of works involving CBGM and PQ concrete (preferred)
  • Liaising with site teams to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification

Requirements

  • Experience in a Senior Engineer, Section Engineer, or Sub Agent role
  • Strong AutoCAD and surveying / setting out capability
  • Proven experience with quality checks and documentation
  • Ability to mentor and lead junior team members
  • Experience with material quantification and take-offs
  • Knowledge of CBGM and PQ concrete (desirable)
  • Must be a UK national or hold relevant clearance (e.g. BBP / National Highways)
  • Full UK driving licence
