We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer / Section Engineer / Sub Agent to join a leading Tier 1 contractor on a major infrastructure project based in Oxford. This is a long-term opportunity offering stability and the chance to work on high-profile works.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing site engineering activities, including surveying and setting out
- Managing and mentoring junior engineers and site staff
- Ensuring compliance with QA/QC and quality standards
- Maintaining accurate site records, documentation, and site diaries
- Producing and managing look-ahead programmes
- Carrying out material take-offs and quantifying aggregates from drawings
- Supporting delivery of works involving CBGM and PQ concrete (preferred)
- Liaising with site teams to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
Requirements
- Experience in a Senior Engineer, Section Engineer, or Sub Agent role
- Strong AutoCAD and surveying / setting out capability
- Proven experience with quality checks and documentation
- Ability to mentor and lead junior team members
- Experience with material quantification and take-offs
- Knowledge of CBGM and PQ concrete (desirable)
- Must be a UK national or hold relevant clearance (e.g. BBP / National Highways)
- Full UK driving licence
