Carmichaels are seeking a Section Engineer to work on a Tier 1 Highways Project in South West London. As Section Engineer you will control a section of the works, including multiple disciplines and be responsible for the management of Site Engineers in that section. Responsibilities include: Produce Method Statements and Risk Assessments and undertakes periodic reviews Prepare and raises Temporary Works Briefs, following up to ensure timely implementation Undertake and mentor less experienced staff in safety audits Provision of ‘primary’ setting out control and recognises the optimum location for installation Actively uses the Specification for reference and coaches junior team members in using the Spec Maintain a comprehensive filing system of quality records aligned to the Project Quality Handover requirements Ensures that Site Engineers complete the required quality checksheets on a timely basis for the works Identifies and raises Technical Queries (RFIs) with possible solutions. Tracks closeout of RFIs within section
