An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor, who is a British National, to join a major MOD civil engineering project involving significant marine and offshore construction works.

The position will suit an experienced civil engineering commercial professional with a strong understanding of NEC contracts and complex infrastructure delivery.

Candidates with experience on ports, harbours, marine construction, offshore piling, quay walls, jetties and reinforced concrete structures are particularly encouraged to apply.

Your duties will include -

Commercial management of designated project work packages.

Administration of NEC contracts and compensation events.

Subcontract procurement and management.

Cost reporting, forecasting and change control.

Preparation and agreement of interim valuations.

Production of commercial reports and cash flow forecasts.

Identification and management of project risks.

Support the Managing Quantity Surveyor in achieving commercial objectives.

The requirements for this post include -

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on major civil engineering projects.

Strong NEC contract experience.

Experience delivering marine, offshore, port, harbour or heavy infrastructure works.

Knowledge of piling and reinforced concrete construction projects.

Strong commercial and contractual awareness.

British National.

Experience on defence or secure government projects.

Chartered status or progression towards chartership.
