Opportunities exist with a tier one principal Contractor, for Section Engineers to manage a package of works, as well as a multi-disciplinary team of Engineers, delivery personnel and subcontractors, on a major project.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Checking technical information (specifications and drawings).
- Identification of any ambiguities or shortcomings therein and submission of Technical Queries to enable their resolution.
- Take-Off materials from drawings.
- Ensuring the Site Engineers are fully conversant with the construction methodology for the civil engineering works.
- Managing the development of HSEQ controls for the civil engineering works.
- Managing the detailed look-ahead programme for the civil engineering works.
- Delegation of dimensional control to the Site Engineers and ensuring that the Temporary and Permanent Works are consistently and accurately set out.
Requirements for this opportunity include:
- HND/HNC/Degree in civil engineering.
- Experience gained while progressing from a Site Engineer to Section Engineer for principal contractors on a major infrastructure project.
- Specific experience in reinforced concrete civil structures, drainage, earthworks and utilities.
- Good communication, interpersonal and management skills.
- CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid.
- A solution-oriented approach to resolving issues and driving progress.
