We are recruiting an experienced Project Engineer to support a major infrastructure package on the Sizewell C nuclear project, specifically focused on railway level crossing upgrades. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering technically challenging civil engineering works on one of the UK’s largest schemes.
The Role
- Manage engineering delivery of railway level crossing upgrade works
- Coordinate site engineering activities, including setting out and quality control
- Review and implement RAMS, ITPs, and technical documentation
- Work closely with Site Agents, Section Engineers and subcontract teams
- Liaise with client, Network Rail representatives, and stakeholders
- Ensure works are delivered in line with project programme, specifications, and safety requirements
- Support commercial team with progress reporting and change management
- Maintain accurate site records, as-builts, and QA documentation
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer / Senior Engineer within civil engineering
- Strong background in railway / level crossing / rail infrastructure works - essential
- Familiar with Network Rail standards and procedures
- Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
- Competent in setting out, QA, ITPs, and RAMS
- Current valid PTS - essential
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
