An excellent full-time opportunity exists for a career orientated Senior Quantity Surveyor on a major infrastructure project based in Devenport.
Responsibilities
- To carry out tasks independently and at times, this will involve leading a small group of commercial staff.
- Carry out both periodical duties and one-off tasks in accordance with deadlines as directed by the senior Commercial team.
- Prepare and agree variation accounts for the main contract and sub-contracts.
- Monitor cost against targets and contract progress against accepted programmes and work plans in conjunction with other team disciplines.
- Provide input into change control procedures for EOT, delays and performance adjustment.
- Prepare and agree interim valuations, final valuations, final accounts and sub-contract final accounts.
- Prepare and issue certification and payment of sub-contractors.
- Provide contractual advice and relevant notices to management timeously to ensure compliance with contract and legal administration obligations.
Qualifications
- Quantity Surveying degree or similar.
- Experienced on large civil engineering projects / JVs / Alliances for tier one Contractors.
- Enrolled in, or seeking membership of, a relevant professional institution (CICES, RICS or similar).
- Experience at Senior Quantity Surveyor level having displayed skills in delivering a positive commercial outcome.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor Quantity Surveyors and Junior Quantity Surveyors.
- The ability to build strong professional relationships to support successful project outcomes.
