Carmichael UK is recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a Tier 1 contractor delivering a major package of works on the HS2 project in Buckinghamshire. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of one of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects, working within a high-performing team on complex civils works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage project quality assurance systems in line with client and industry standards
  • Review and manage ITPs, quality plans, and inspection documentation
  • Carry out site inspections, audits, and surveillance to ensure compliance
  • Manage NCRs, ensure corrective actions are implemented and closed out
  • Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and client representatives
  • Compile and manage handover documentation and quality records
  • Monitor quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement across site

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer on major infrastructure or civils projects
  • HS2 experience or major Tier 1 project experience (highly desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of QA processes, ITPs, audits, and documentation control
  • Experience across structures, earthworks, drainage or highways packages
  • CSCS card (essential)
  • Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering or Quality Management preferred
