Carmichael UK is recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a Tier 1 contractor delivering a major package of works on the HS2 project in Buckinghamshire. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of one of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects, working within a high-performing team on complex civils works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage project quality assurance systems in line with client and industry standards
- Review and manage ITPs, quality plans, and inspection documentation
- Carry out site inspections, audits, and surveillance to ensure compliance
- Manage NCRs, ensure corrective actions are implemented and closed out
- Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and client representatives
- Compile and manage handover documentation and quality records
- Monitor quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement across site
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer on major infrastructure or civils projects
- HS2 experience or major Tier 1 project experience (highly desirable)
- Strong knowledge of QA processes, ITPs, audits, and documentation control
- Experience across structures, earthworks, drainage or highways packages
- CSCS card (essential)
- Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering or Quality Management preferred
