Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Surveyor/Utilities to join our team for a prestigious client in the utilities and infrastructure sector. This exciting role involves working on a variety of utility projects, conducting surveys, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards at West Ruislip on HS2.
As a Surveyor/Utilities, you will be responsible for accurately mapping and surveying utility assets, ensuring data quality, and providing technical support to project teams. If you have strong survey skills, an eye for detail, and a passion for the utilities industry, this is an excellent opportunity to further your career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct utility surveys for a wide range of infrastructure projects
- Identify and map underground utility assets (gas, water, electricity, telecoms)
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with survey standards, data collection, and reporting
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution
- Prepare and maintain detailed survey documentation and reports
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on surveying methodologies and techniques
- Work in compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Surveyor with a focus on utilities or infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of utility surveying techniques and industry standards
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software (e.g., GPS, Total Stations, CAD)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A relevant qualification in surveying or a related field is preferred (e.g., HNC, HND, or Degree)
- Valid driving license and ability to travel to various sites
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience working in the utilities or infrastructure sectors
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in surveying
- Experience with 3D modeling or GIS software is a plus
- Spraying Utilities, RD8100, Level 3 Utilities Mapping, DBS Check, Utilities Mark up.
