Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all temporary works activities in accordance with BS 5975:2019 and project procedures.
- Maintain and regularly review the Temporary Works Register.
- Coordinate with designers, site teams, and stakeholders to ensure safe and compliant temporary works solutions.
- Review and issue Temporary Works Design Briefs and ensure designs are adequately checked and approved.
- Manage the temporary works design process, including design changes and approvals.
- Carry out inspections and audits to ensure temporary works are installed in accordance with approved designs.
- Produce and manage ITPs, quality documentation, and inspection hold points.
- Ensure temporary works are maintained, monitored, and safely managed throughout their lifecycle.
- Support site teams with technical guidance, risk management, and construction planning.
- Promote high standards of health, safety, quality, and compliance across all temporary works activities.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator on major construction, infrastructure, rail, energy, or similar projects.
- Strong working knowledge of BS 5975:2019.
- Valid CITB Temporary Works Coordinator Certificate (essential).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
Desirable
- HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- IEng or CEng status.
- Experience on large-scale infrastructure or nuclear projects.
- SMSTS and CSCS Card.
