Carmichael UK is recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to support bridge and footbridge works with a Tier 1 contractor in Lincolnshire. The project is a delivery-focused scheme involving structural concrete, bridge decks, abutments, and associated civil works. This role would suit an engineer with a strong background in bridges or footbridge structures who is comfortable working closely with site teams to ensure works are delivered safely, accurately, and to specification.
The Role
- Setting out and overseeing bridge and footbridge works, including abutments, piers, decks, and RC elements
- Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and quality requirements
- Carrying out QA inspections and maintaining accurate site and ITP records
- Supporting the management of subcontractors and site operatives
- Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Assisting with as-built records, surveys, and handover documentation
About You
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer on bridges, footbridges, or structural civil engineering projects
- Hands-on experience with reinforced concrete, formwork, and structural elements
- A good understanding of bridge-related specifications and quality standards
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively on live construction sites
