A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join a major infrastructure programme at Heathrow Airport, supporting works on the Northern Runway and associated airside infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work on one of the UK's most high-profile aviation projects, working within a fast-paced airport environment alongside a highly experienced delivery team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and update 2D and 3D CAD drawings for civil engineering and aviation projects.
  • Develop construction drawings, as-built records, and technical documentation.
  • Support engineering and delivery teams with design coordination and drawing revisions.
  • Ensure drawings comply with Heathrow standards, project specifications, and relevant regulations.
  • Liaise with site engineers, surveyors, designers, and stakeholders to capture and incorporate design changes.
  • Manage drawing registers and document control procedures.
  • Assist with the production of temporary works and construction sequencing drawings where required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CAD Technician within civil engineering, infrastructure, highways, rail, or aviation projects.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience advantageous).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and survey information.
  • Experience producing as-built drawings and working in a construction environment.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Previous airport, airside, or major infrastructure experience would be highly desirable.
