An opportunity exists for a competent Site Engineer with experience in the construction of retaining walls and in specific King post retaining walls. Your ability to stay ahead of the piling crew whilst setting out quickly and effectively is sought.
Your duties will include:
- Daily planning of the works
- Accurate setting out of the works under high pressure situations
- Line and level for the retaining wall
- Pre-pour and post-pour checks
- Produce records, as-builts and maintain a daily diary
- Complete quality checks and monitor progress
- Ensure Health and Safety compliance
Requirements for this post include:
- A valid PTS with extensive setting out experience and know how within the rail sector
- Previous experience on major projects for a tier one PC overseeing subcontractors
- Preferably a civil engineering qualification
- A valid driving licence
- CSCS and First Aid
- SMSTS advantageous
