Carmichael UK is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major section of the HS2 programme in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading Tier 1 contractor on one of the largest and most complex civil engineering projects currently underway in the UK.

The Role

As Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of major earthworks and drainage packages, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting out and surveying works
  • Managing earthworks and drainage activities on site
  • Producing and reviewing RAMS and ITPs
  • Quality assurance and recording works completed
  • Coordinating subcontractors and site teams
  • Ensuring compliance with project specifications and health & safety requirements
  • Maintaining accurate site records and as-built information

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Site Engineer on major civil engineering projects
  • Strong background in earthworks and drainage
  • Competent with Leica and/or Trimble equipment
  • Experience producing QA documentation and site records
  • CSCS Card essential
  • Full right to work in the UK
