Carmichael UK is proud to be working with a Tier 1 contractor on the HS2 project in Buckinghamshire, and we are looking to recruit an experienced Site Engineer with a strong background in structures and highways.

Location: Buckinghamshire (HS2)

The Role:

As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering critical infrastructure on one of the UK’s largest construction projects. You will be responsible for setting out, quality assurance, and supporting site operations across structures and highways works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting out for structures and highways works (foundations, reinforced concrete, drainage, roadworks)
  • Ensuring works are carried out in line with design drawings and specifications
  • Managing QA processes, ITPs and as-built records
  • Supporting site management with daily site operations
  • Liaising with subcontractors and site teams to ensure programme delivery
  • Maintaining high levels of health & safety on site

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer on major infrastructure projects
  • Strong background in structures and highways
  • Experience working with Tier 1 contractors (HS2 experience desirable)
  • Competent with setting out equipment (GPS, Total Station)
  • Good understanding of QA processes and site documentation
  • Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering
