Carmichael are seeking a Land Surveyor to join the teams on a major infrastructure project based in Buckingham.

Responsibilities

  • Undergo land, topographic, hydrographic, and measured building surveys using specialist equipment such as robotics and 3D scanners.
  • Analyze data with plans, maps, charts and software such as Auto CAD, Trimble Business Centre and GIS programs.
  • Prepare survey drawings with the Senior Land Surveyor, present data to clients and write reports.
  • Coordinate with Site Engineers for project priorities, changes of plans, deviations, unusual activities, and non-conformances; consult with the consultant for inspection and approval; set out and perform as-built surveys; conduct topographical and engineering surveys using laser scanners.
  • Manage registration and post-processing of point cloud data; conduct GNSS network surveying, precise traversing and levelling; manage drone surveys for earthwork measures.

Qualifications

  • HND or degree in Land Survey, Geomatics, or equivalent.
  • Experience within a similar role and with similar values.
  • Experience in preparing survey-related Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  • Expert knowledge of Trimble total stations, levels and GNSS receivers.
  • Excellent Auto CAD skills to produce 2D and 3D drawings.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid report writing and compilation skills.
  • Proficient in using survey software such as Trimble Business Centre.
