Carmichael UK are recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join one of the UK's most prestigious infrastructure projects, playing a key role in the delivery of HS2 in Birmingham.

The Role
Working closely with operational teams, engineers and site management, you will provide proactive health and safety support across multiple work areas, ensuring compliance with company procedures, legislation and HS2 standards.
Responsibilities
- Promote a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture across site operations
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits and behavioural safety observations
- Support incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Deliver toolbox talks and health & safety briefings
- Ensure compliance with HS2, CDM and company requirements
- Review RAMS and provide guidance to project teams
- Monitor subcontractor performance and drive continuous improvement
- Maintain accurate records and reporting documentation
- Support management in achieving project health and safety objectives
About You
- Previous experience as a Health & Safety Advisor within civil engineering, rail, infrastructure or major projects
- NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent)
- Membership of IOSH (GradIOSH/TechIOSH desirable)
- Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and UK health & safety legislation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations
- Full UK driving licence
