We pride ourselves on our reputation for excellence in private developments, commercial projects, and infrastructure works. We are currently looking for a skilled Groundworks Squad of 2 or 3 individuals to join our dedicated team. If your squad are hard-working, reliable, and take pride in a job well done, we want to hear from you.

In order to bring you on board we will have to conduct BPSS background checks and this role does include working on secure military sites therefore compliance with the requirements of these vetting checks are essential.

Foreman

As Site Foreman, you will be the main point of contact on-site, bridging the gap between our Project Managers and the ground squads. You will be responsible for driving the program forward while maintaining strict safety standards.

Key Duties
  • Site Leadership: Managing groundworkers and plant operators, ensuring productivity and morale remain high.
  • Technical Supervision: Reading and interpreting engineering drawings (drainage layouts, foundations, levels).
  • Setting Out: Establishing levels and lines for drainage, kerbing, and concrete pours using laser levels/boning rods.
  • Health & Safety: conducting morning briefings, Toolbox Talks, and ensuring all RAMS are adhered to.
  • Resource Management: Ordering materials (concrete, aggregates, pipework) and arranging plant hire in coordination with the office.
  • Quality Control: Ensuring all work meets the client's specifications and inspection standards.
Essential Requirements
  • SSSTS (Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme) or SMSTS.
  • Valid CSCS Gold (Supervisor) or Black (Manager) card.
  • First Aid at Work (3 Day).
  • Strong experience in residential and commercial groundworks (roads, sewers, foundations).
  • Ability to read drawings and set out accurately.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
Digger Driver

You will be the lead machine operator for a groundworks squad. Precision and safety are paramount.

Key Duties
  • Excavation: digging foundations, deep drainage trenches, and trial pits.
  • Site Preparation: stripping topsoil, grading, and leveling stone to fine tolerances.
  • Material Handling: Loading dumpers and moving materials safely around the site.
  • Working Around Services: Digging safely around live gas, water, and electric services.
  • Machine Care: Daily checks (fluids, grease, tracks) and keeping the cab clean.
  • Teamwork: Willingness to "muck in" and assist the groundworkers when the machine is standing.
Essential Requirements
  • Valid CPCS (Blue) or NPORS card for 360 Excavator (Tracked).
  • Lifting Operations category on your card is highly advantageous.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in groundwork (drainage experience is essential).
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • High awareness of site safety and blind spots.
Groundworker

You will be working on various sites, carrying out all aspects of groundworks to a high standard.

Key Duties
  • Drainage: Laying deep and shallow drainage, pipework, and manhole construction.
  • Concreting: Pouring and finishing concrete for foundations and floors.
  • Finishing Works: Kerbing, flagging/slabbing, and block paving.
  • Plot Works: Foundations and substructure brickwork assistance.
  • Site Safety: Adhering strictly to health and safety regulations and RAMS at all times.
Essential Requirements
  • Valid CSCS Card (Green or Blue).
  • Proven experience in deep drainage, concrete, and kerbing.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and own transport (to get to site/yard).
  • Right to work in the UK.
