We are a community of Religious Sisters offering a unique opportunity for a Night Care Assistant to work in our eight bedded Infirmary Wing from 8.30pm – 6.30am, three or four days a week as you require for a period of six months. Our Infirmary Wing is an integral part of our Monastery and its purpose is to enable those Sisters needing care to remain within our monastic family.
You will deliver personal care , keep accurate records , maintain a healthy and safe environment, serve food and drink , do laundry and ironing and clean the Sisters' rooms and ancillary rooms.
You will be someone who: has at least two years experience. is caring, compassionate and gentle with the elderly. is able to appreciate the monastic life and the particular needs of each Sister. knows when to call for assistance and not put yourself or others at risk. is punctual and reliable. works well in a team . respects confidentiality and the privacy of the Sisters. can communicate well with both Sisters and Staff. can complete accurate documentation.
