The role:
The person appointed would be expected to work full-time as part of a successful and thriving Art and Design team. Art and Design at Carmel College includes seven specialist departments across five A Level subjects, a Level 3 Extended Diploma, and a Level 4 Art Foundation course. The full range of specialisms offered includes Fine Art, Graphic Design, Fashion & Textiles, 3D Design, and Photography, alongside several exciting and engaging student enrichment programmes.
The person appointed would be expected to:
- Assist various members of teaching staff in the following:
- Preparation of materials and resources for lessons
- Monitoring, ordering and storage of stock
- Support with exhibitions and displays of student work – both internally and externally
- Photocopying and printing of resources and lesson materials
- Checking and preparing facilities in Notre Dame building, including printers, photo studio, darkroom, machine workshop, print room, as well as classrooms and computer suites
- Supervision of workshop for Health & Safety purposes
- To attend meetings and complete mandatory training in accordance with the colleges meeting/training schedule
- To assist at the colleges Open Evenings / Consultation Evenings
Each member of the College will take reasonable care for the health and safety of himself/herself and persons who may be affected by his/her omissions at work.
To undertake any other duties as may be assigned commensurate with the grade and overall responsibility level of the post and as changing circumstances may require.
Contract and Salary Information:

Start date: As soon as possible
Contract: Established, 36 hours per week, term time only plus 2 weeks
Salary: Point 9 - 11 - £26,818 to £28,634 per annum (actual payable £22,589.00 to £24,118.64 per annum)
