A lady from Llanelli would like to have support for socialisation for up to 5 hours per week. The support will be used at her discretion for socialising, such as going for a coffee, swimming, or shopping/browsing. In line with the flexibility of the direct payment, she can decide along with her personal assistants whether she has one longer session per week or splits her outings into two or three weekly sessions. Socialisation is an important personal outcome for her, and she wishes to be able to go out and about and to live her life to the full. This support helps to promote her mental and physical health. The assistant should be aware of her health, including her seizures, and know how to help and support in this matter.
