We are looking for a fun, caring breakfast assistant to join our Breakfast Club. They will be responsible for ensuring that our food preparation area is clean prior to preparing and serving a nutritious breakfast. Other duties will include general kitchen and dining room duties, such as the setting up and clearing away of tables, and general cleaning duties. This post is for 3.75 hours per week / 45 minutes per day. Hourly rate is £12.75. Our working hours are Monday to Friday before 9am, term time only, ideal to fit around family commitments / the school day. We offer an 'annualised' pay scheme so that our staff who work term time receive pay over 52 weeks.

The Candidate – We need someone who has:

  • The ability to build good relationships with adults and children based on mutual respect.
  • Knowledge of basic Food Safety and Health and Safety (this would be an advantage, but is not essential as full training will be provided).
  • Good communication and people skills.
  • The ability to work on their own and as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and the willingness to learn new skills.

DBS level: An Enhanced with Barred List Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this job. It is an offence to apply for the role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or adults at risk.

Welsh language level - verbal Level 1 - You will need a basic knowledge of Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
