We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Male Personal Assistant (genuine occupational requirement) to support a 40 year old gentleman living with paranoid schizophrenia for 4 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Morning support to establish a positive routine.
- Collecting and dropping off the employer.
- Supporting access to gym, exercise and community activities.
- Providing encouragement, reassurance and emotional support.
- Promoting independence, dignity and choice.
- Delivering 4 hours per week as 2 x 2 hour morning sessions.
- Community based support including collection and drop off.
- Promoting wellbeing and encouraging engagement in activities such as fitness, sports, boxing, gardening, shopping and music/TV.
- Planned support activities: gym sessions, boxing or exercise; outdoor activities and gardening; shopping and errands; general wellbeing and routine building.
