We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Male Personal Assistant (genuine occupational requirement) to support a 40 year old gentleman living with paranoid schizophrenia for 4 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Morning support to establish a positive routine.
  • Collecting and dropping off the employer.
  • Supporting access to gym, exercise and community activities.
  • Providing encouragement, reassurance and emotional support.
  • Promoting independence, dignity and choice.
  • Delivering 4 hours per week as 2 x 2 hour morning sessions.
  • Community based support including collection and drop off.
  • Promoting wellbeing and encouraging engagement in activities such as fitness, sports, boxing, gardening, shopping and music/TV.
  • Planned support activities: gym sessions, boxing or exercise; outdoor activities and gardening; shopping and errands; general wellbeing and routine building.
