Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Supporting the employer with encouragement in gaining independence.
- Enabling the employer to interact socially in their community.
- Providing support to the employer whilst shopping and attending activities of interest.
- Supporting the employer to develop independent living skills.
- Providing companionship in the employer's home, including engaging in conversation and social interaction.
- Encouraging the employer to attend appointments.
- Ensuring the employer's safety at all times during your working hours.
- Carrying out any other reasonable tasks requested by the employer during working hours.
- Ensuring compliance with the Data Protection Act.
- Being mindful of safeguarding issues and reporting any concerns to Carmarthenshire County Council immediately at (01267 228751).
- Being responsible for contacting the GP, Social Worker or Local Authority if the employer needs medical assistance.

- Ability to develop a supportive and caring relationship with the employer.
- Carry out all duties in a friendly and helpful manner.
