Applications are invited by the Headteacher and Governing Body for a permanent Caretaker. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and security of our school premises. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

You will be expected to:

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the school premises, including classrooms, corridors, and playgrounds.
  • Ensure the school is safe and secure by monitoring access to the premises and reporting any issues or concerns.
  • Support the school's operations team with various tasks and projects.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and school policies.

Enhancement with Barred List Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this job. It is an offence to apply for the role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or adults at risk.

Requirements

  • Welsh language level - verbal Level 1. Basic knowledge of Welsh is required. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
