We are looking for a fun, caring breakfast assistant to join our Breakfast Club. The role involves ensuring that the food preparation area is clean before preparing and serving a nutritious breakfast, as well as general kitchen and dining room duties such as setting up and clearing tables, and general cleaning tasks.

Post: 1 hour 30 minutes per week, job share. Hourly rate £13.16. Working hours Monday before 9 am, term time only, ideal for fitting around family commitments and the school day. We offer an annualised pay scheme, so staff who work term time receive pay over 52 weeks. Annual salary: £25,390 (annualised).

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the food preparation area is clean prior to preparing and serving breakfast.
  • Set up and clear dining tables.
  • Perform general kitchen and dining room cleaning duties.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Ability to build good relationships with adults and children based on mutual respect.
  • Knowledge of basic food safety and health & safety – full training will be provided.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Enhanced DBS check required; barred individuals may not apply.
  • Basic conversational Welsh – Level 2; support will be provided.
