DIRECT HIRE opportunity for a Designer/Drafter in Southwest Houston! A leading manufacturer of industrial flow control equipment in Southwest Houston is seeking an experienced Designer/Drafter to join their engineering team. In this role, you will transform engineering concepts into detailed manufacturing drawings, bills of materials, and documentation packages that support production, purchasing, and quality processes.
This position requires strong CAD drafting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 annually

The Perfect Designer/Drafter for Our Client Will Have:
- Strong experience creating detailed mechanical drawings using Autodesk Inventor, preferably within valve manufacturing or industrial equipment
- Working knowledge of GD&T, dimensioning, and manufacturing documentation standards
- Ability to develop complete drawing packages and bills of materials with minimal supervision
- Experience interpreting engineering concepts and converting them into production-ready documentation
- Understanding of machining, fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing processes
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Experience with drawing revisions, engineering changes, and document control procedures preferred
- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent drafting/design experience preferred
