A growing specialist insurance brokerage is looking to appoint an experienced London Market Slip Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong London Market technical experience who is confident preparing, reviewing and processing insurance documentation across a varied portfolio of specialist risks. The successful candidate will work closely with underwriting, broking and operational teams, ensuring documentation is accurate, compliant and completed within agreed timescales. Previous London Market insurance experience is essential for this position.

The Role

As a London Market Slip Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the accurate preparation and processing of insurance documentation across new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments. Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, reviewing and amending Market Reform Contracts and supporting documentation
  • Producing slips, endorsements, certificates and policy documentation
  • Checking contract terms, conditions, clauses and endorsements for accuracy
  • Ensuring documentation reflects agreed underwriting terms and instructions
  • Supporting new business, renewal and mid-term adjustment activity
  • Liaising with underwriters, brokers, operations teams and external stakeholders
  • Resolving documentation queries and identifying missing or inconsistent information
  • Maintaining accurate records across internal systems and London Market platforms
  • Supporting premium processing and ensuring documentation is completed within agreed timescales
  • Assisting with bordereaux, reporting and delegated authority requirements where appropriate
  • Ensuring work is completed in line with Lloyd’s, London Market and regulatory standards
  • Supporting audit, compliance and quality control processes
  • Contributing to improvements in workflow, documentation standards and operational efficiency

About You

We are looking for an experienced insurance technician with strong knowledge of London Market documentation and processes. To be considered, you should have:

  • Previous experience working within the London insurance market
  • Experience gained within an MGA, Lloyd’s broker, insurer or specialist intermediary
  • Practical experience preparing or reviewing Market Reform Contracts
  • Knowledge of slips, endorsements, policy documentation and contract certainty requirements
  • A good understanding of London Market terminology, processes and documentation standards
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify errors or inconsistencies
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident communication skills when dealing with underwriters, brokers and internal stakeholders
  • The ability to work accurately within deadlines
  • A proactive approach to resolving technical and documentation queries

Experience using platforms such as PPL, Whitespace, CLASS, ECF or similar London Market systems would be beneficial. Knowledge of delegated authority business, bordereaux or premium processing would also be advantageous, although it is not essential.
