Carlton Scott is seeking a strategic, media-savvy PR & Brand Visibility Manager to amplify our authority across the UK business landscape. This role is ideal for someone who knows how to position a brand for maximum impact, build strong media relationships, and drive awareness through smart storytelling and timely press.

Through mentoring, digital products, strategic partnerships, and an exclusive business membership community, we help startups and SMEs scale smarter. As we expand our digital and acquisition arms, we are building a national media presence, and we need a PR expert to lead the charge.
The Role: You will take ownership of Carlton Scott's public image and press positioning. This includes building relationships with journalists, pitching thought leadership opportunities, securing media coverage, and creating a consistent drumbeat of brand visibility across both traditional and digital outlets.
- Develop and execute a proactive PR and visibility strategy aligned with business growth goals
- Secure features, interviews, expert commentary, and speaking opportunities for the founder and the brand
- Build and maintain a press list of relevant UK journalists, editors, and business publications
- Write compelling press releases, media pitches, bios, and brand statements
- Identify and submit applications for relevant awards, rankings, and recognition opportunities
- Monitor news cycles and jump on relevant trends for reactive PR
- Collaborate with the content and podcast team to maximise earned media across owned channels
- Track coverage and report on brand reach, placements, and media ROI
Who You Are: An experienced PR or visibility strategist with a proven track record in earned media. Strong writer and storyteller, with the ability to pitch ideas that land coverage. Confident building relationships with journalists, event organisers, and influencers. Proactive and creative, with a nose for newsworthy angles and brand positioning. Skilled at aligning visibility with business outcomes (leads, authority, conversions). Familiar with the UK press landscape and entrepreneurial/startup media. Bonus: Experience working with personal brands or business consultants.
