Location: West Thurrock, RM20 3LB

Job Length: Permanent

Working Hours: 45 hours per week. Starting at 6am and finishing at 3pm, on a Monday to Friday basis. Flexibility required to work outside of these times to suit business needs.

About the role:

Oversee on our early shift operation as a Warehouse Team Leader at Carlsberg Britvic in West Thurrock. You’ll improve performance, accuracy, and safety across the warehouse, leading your team to deliver on time, in full for our customers. We are looking for a leader who thrives in a busy FMCG environment, values developing others, and is committed to keeping warehouse operations running efficiently.

Reporting to the Warehouse Shift Manager, this role will play a key part of our success journey and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the night shift warehouse team to ensure smooth, efficient operations and on-time, in-full delivery to customers.
  • Oversee daily warehouse activities, including picking accuracy, stock control, and loading/unloading of vehicles to schedule.
  • Work closely with warehouse, transport and office teams to coordinate operations, meet site objectives and provide a high quality service to suit customers’ needs.
  • Monitor and report stock discrepancies, damages and breakages, ensuring timely investigation and resolution.
  • Holding health and safety at the forefront of all warehouse procedures to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
  • Lead by example to encourage a respectful, positive, and productive team environment.
  • Support operational continuity by providing cover for the Shift Manager and key admin activities when required.
  • Deliver team briefings, recognition and feedback to support engagement and performance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and share best practice across the network.

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • IT literate with experience using MS Office, SAP and Microlise.
  • Experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a warehouse team.
  • Experience working in a warehouse for an FMCG.
  • FLT Licence and experience using FLT with specialist attachments (e.g. clamp) is essential.
  • Manual handling experience desirable however full training will be provided during induction.
  • Clear communicator with ability to lead, motivate and resolve team challenges effectively.
  • Safety focused mindset.
