For soft drinks, Carlsberg Britvic’s brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Iced Tea and Rockstar Energy.

About the role
This is an exciting time to join the Northampton brewery as the site continues to go through capital and people investment. This is a real hands on opportunity to be a part of the wider engineering team and steer the success of projects.
We are now recruiting for a Technical Engineer. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will play a key part of our success journey and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:
Role Responsibilities
- Ensure safe and hygienic execution of engineering activities across BPEC departments, optimising line performance and efficiency
- Lead Focused Improvement (FI) initiatives with operations teams to boost OEE and reduce BMR
- Develop and implement maintenance improvement strategies with site teams and third-party partners
- Manage ordering of tactical replacement parts outside the scope of MRO procurement
- Supervise maintenance contract activities not overseen by engineering leads or Carlsberg contract managers
- Report engineering tactical activity clearly and consistently across all business levels
- Conduct training needs analysis to maintain certification and maximise team capability
- Deploy resources cost-effectively and manage financial budgets within area of responsibility
Experience and Key Attributes
- Proven experience managing engineering FI activity and planning within a BPEC or FMCG environment
- Strong commitment to LeanTPM principles, with ability to lead problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives
- Solid understanding of engineering maintenance regulations and key standards in Quality, Health & Safety, and Environment
- Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration to drive performance improvement
- High level of competency in analytical thinking, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making under pressure
- Qualified to HNC level (or equivalent) in engineering, with strong IT literacy including SAP and BI systems
- Demonstrated ability to inspire teams, support change, and deliver results through structured planning
