Working Hours: 35 hours per week, on a Monday to Friday basis.

About the role:

Take the lead on Environment, Health & Safety at our Northampton Brewery as EHS Manager – Production, where you’ll shape a proactive safety culture across all production functions. You’ll develop and deliver EHS strategy, ensure legal and ISO compliance, and work closely with site leaders to reduce risk and embed continuous improvement. This is a practical, influential role for an experienced EHS professional who wants to improve safety performance in a busy manufacturing environment, supporting some of the UK’s most iconic brands.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for Environment, Health & Safety at the Northampton Brewery, supporting all production functions.
  • Manage the implementation of Carlsberg Britvic and Group EHS strategies, policies, standards and annual improvement plans.
  • Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, safety inspections and internal audits to reduce risk and prevent incidents.
  • Ensure full compliance with UK legislation, Group requirements and ISO standards (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001).
  • Manage incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions, ensuring root causes are identified and risks reduced.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training, inductions and awareness programmes in collaboration with site and training teams.
  • Oversee emergency preparedness, testing and site response arrangements.
  • Own EHS performance reporting, data accuracy and end-of-month submissions to Group.
  • Partner with site leadership, contractors and external bodies to continuously improve EHS culture and performance.

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) with substantial practical experience leading EHS in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK H&S legislation, risk management and EHS management systems.
  • Experience implementing and auditing ISO standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001; ISO 9001 desirable).
  • Ability to progress EHS initiatives by combining effective communication, coaching, and structured follow-up.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills with the confidence to persuade colleagues and secure buy-in at all levels of the organisation.
  • Methodical and organised, with experience managing EHS data, reporting and compliance systems.
  • Flexible and improvement-driven, with a firm focus on workplace safety.
