Cask Racking Operative

Location: Burton-On-Trent

Job Length: 14 Month FTC – Full Time

Working Hours: Rotating shift pattern of Mornings (6am-2pm) and Afternoons (2pm-10pm)

Role Responsibilities:

• Working to meet production targets whilst upholding high plant hygiene standards, and following health and safety rules.
• Using a keen eye for detail and following set methods to gather samples, and make daily quality checks, to ensure our products meet specifications.
• Filling in records and paperwork to tightly monitor products and machinery to keep track of potential production losses in OEE, utilities and product.
• Working with several types of machinery and promptly reporting any mechanical issues.
• Always following manual handling safe practices and procedures.
• Following our 5S culture to do your part in our drive towards Excellence.
• Spotting, reporting, and removing hazards within the working environment to do your part towards the company’s Zero accidents Culture.
• Use of FLT'S within day-to-day production roles (Training can be provided).

Experience and Key Attributes:

• Previous experience in a production environment would be beneficial, but not a necessity.
• Understanding of production environment work practices and Health and Safety standards (LOTO, 5s, JT10, PMS).
• Taking pride in your work and the work of your Team.
• The ability to work under pressure and within set time constraints.
• The ability to work within a busy team or independently when required.
• The drive to look for ways to improve work practices, stay highly motivated and learn new skills.
