Overview
This role is about leading a team to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient transport operations every day. You\’ll make sure our drivers and vehicles meet all legal requirements while supporting your team to work effectively and provide an excellent customer experience. Responsibilities
- Role Responsibilities: Responsible for compliance of all vehicles and drivers.
- Providing skills required to deliver to customers on time and in full.
- Providing high quality services to suit customer needs.
- Providing support for distribution teams to ensure smooth running of operations.
- Making sure all site objectives are met whilst not compromising on health and safety.
- Holding health and safety at the forefront of all processes.
- Seeing the vehicles and crew out in the morning and overseeing the return of all vehicles and crews.
- To be the point of contact for all real time delivery issues for the crews and to communicate with customer services.
- Experience supervising or leading within transport or a logistics network.
- Experience within transport compliance.
- Customer Service.
- IT literate.
- Manual Handling.
- IOSH certification beneficial however not required.
- Transport Manager CPC beneficial however not required.
- Working Hours: 45 hours per week. Working 9 hours per day, working on a 2 shift rotating pattern. Either starting at 4am or 11am on a Monday to Friday basis. Flexibility required to work outside of these times and to cover other shifts to suit business needs.
