Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company (CMBC) is one of the leading, historic brewers in the UK. Formed out of a joint venture between Carlsberg UK and Marston’s PLC, we combine over 300 years of shared values, history, and heritage in UK brewing.

We are now recruiting for a Technical Brewer to work closely within the Brewing team as we continue to innovate and deliver beers and ales.

What will you be doing?

• Provide technical brewing support to production operations covering the end to end brewing process from raw materials through wort production, fermentation, and beer processing/filtration.
• Develop the technical capability within the production teams through effective coaching and creation of standard operating procedures.
• Lead, execute, and deliver continuous improvement, and relevant existing product and new product development initiatives on site.
• Liaise with other entities of Carlsberg Group to provide technical support, and facilitate the creation, sharing, and implementation of best practice and benchmarking standards.
• Develop positive relationships with all interfacing departments through effective communication and feedback.
• Be a role model and lead health, safety, and environment initiatives on site.

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience in a Technical Brewing position.
• IBD Diploma in Brewing is a must and Master Brewer (or working towards preferred).
• Knowledge and experience of using Lean management systems.
• Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude and ability to multitask different projects.
• Full UK Driving License.
• Full UK working rights.
