Job Title – Shift Engineering Manager

Location: – Burton-On-Trent

Job Length – Permanent

Shift Pattern: 6-2 and 2-10 rotating.

We are now recruiting for a Shift Engineering Manager to join us. Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, this role will be responsible for:

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the safe and hygienic deployment of engineering activities across the Burton site but with particular focus on the brewery and packaging departments.
  • Management of the engineering function including all welfare and facilities concerns.
  • Responsible for budgetary control of all site Maintenance Teams.
  • Recruit, lead, motivate and develop a flexible and agile multi-disciplined engineering team.
  • Ensure the brewery CMMS system is used accordingly and that the quality and accuracy of inputs and outputs are meeting the agreed standards and target levels.
  • Responsible for organising all routine, preventive and corrective maintenance within the packaging departments.
  • Responsible for the identification and control of all relevant spare parts, replacement parts and consumables.
  • Management of all relevant maintenance contractors.
  • Responsible for the implementation of all relevant group Maintenance and TPM standards.
  • Responsible for the training of all operational teams in Autonomous Maintenance and TPM related tasks.

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent in an engineering discipline or have experience and a proven record of managing engineering within an FMCG company.
  • Knowledge and experience of applying Lean TPM philosophies, tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of key standards in Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental.
  • A working knowledge of employment law, typical HR policies and procedures would be advantageous in the role.
  • Competent coaching, mentoring and facilitation skills.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Full UK working rights.
