Location: Hemel Hempstead – Hybrid, with travel to other sites, offices and depots

Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi-beverage supplier in the UK and is home to some of the most iconic and popular beers & soft drinks. With a strong national footprint, the Carlsberg Britvic business includes 6 production facilities and 16 logistics depots servicing customers up and down the UK.

Reporting to the VP – Finance, this role will play a key part of our success journey, and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:

Role Responsibilities:

  • Be a local representative of regional procurement and act as a main point of contact for internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure procurement value is delivered locally, guaranteeing maximum impact to the local P&L.
  • Actively engage in discussions on value, project pipelines and budgets involving P&L and collaborate amongst relevant stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Managing the local procurement resources, providing support and guidance to maximise procurement delivered value and smooth project execution.
  • Ensure value is delivered through robust local spend transparency, tenders and contract negotiations.
  • Ensuring correct procedure and compliance to purchasing policy, building bridges between local business, central procurement and the Procurement Operating Centre.

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • Previous experience in a relevant strategic or tactical procurement role, at a regional or global level, with a commercial focus.
  • Degree educated, or experience educated – commercial background desired, ideally in a global Matrix based organisation.
  • Proven experience in sourcing, negotiation, contract planning and execution.
  • Ability to collect and analyse quantitative/qualitative information to assess, screen and select suppliers.
  • Strong knowledge of Source-to-Pay processes, financial impact understanding and experience with spend, demand, market and industry analyses.
  • Extensive experience in team management, building stakeholder relationships with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Ariba or a local ERP/procurement system with extensive use of Microsoft systems, specifically Excel.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
