Reporting to the Process Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in maintaining, improving and optimising our production assets. You’ll collaborate across engineering and production teams to keep our operation running safely, efficiently and reliably.

Key Responsibilities

  • System optimisation – Work with engineering teams to improve performance, reduce downtime and drive technical improvements.
  • Mechanical & electrical maintenance – Diagnose and repair faults using advanced tools and techniques.
  • Safety & compliance – Ensure full adherence to LOTO, electrical safety and environmental standards, maintaining detailed CBM records.
  • Infrastructure support – Maintain site utilities and electrical distribution systems to ensure reliable operation.
  • Team collaboration – Partner with production teams and mentor apprentices, supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Lean practices – Support 5S, Kaizen and Autonomous Maintenance initiatives.
  • Condition monitoring – Conduct vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound and other predictive maintenance activities.

Experience and Key Attributes

  • Recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification (HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • Experience in a multi‑skilled maintenance role within FMCG, manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Advantageous: certifications in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics or rotating machinery
  • Experience using CMMS systems
