About the role
We are now recruiting for a Local Procurement Business Partner reporting into the Senior Local Business Partner Indirect Procurement, acting as the local representative for Regional Procurement.
Role Responsibilities:
- Oversee all indirect spend for Carlsberg Britvic.
- Serve as the single point of contact for internal stakeholders on all procurement‑related queries.
- Lead sourcing, tendering and negotiation activities to secure best‑value terms and conditions.
- Drive effective local contract implementation and ensure maximum procurement value is delivered to the UK and Ireland P&L.
- Work closely with local leadership, Regional/Global Category Managers and the Regional Procurement Operating Centre.
- Participate in budget creation and adjustments, ensuring procurement value is reflected through a clear and transparent savings pipeline.
- Ensure robust spend transparency and drive continuous improvements through competitive tenders and strong contract negotiation.
- Champion compliance with procurement policies and bridge the gap between local business teams, central procurement and the Procurement Operating Centre.
- Support change initiatives across the organisation, requiring strong change‑management capability and solid business acumen.
Experience and Key Attributes:
- Extensive experience in a strategic and tactical procurement at a local or regional level with a strong focus on Indirect spend categories (Services, Facilities Management, Maintenance, Repair & Operations and Capital Expenditure) is a necessity.
- Experience within a FMCG business and matrix organisation is preferred.
- Extensive Source‑to‑Pay expertise, including sourcing, RFx management, contract planning, and supplier relationship management.
- Strong analytical capability across spend, demand, market, and industry insights, with solid financial acumen and proven negotiation results delivering net/P&L savings.
- Skilled in cross‑functional project management and influencing specifications and demand.
- Strong relationship‑building abilities and a reputation as a trusted role model and advisor.
- Well‑versed in governance, policies, and procedures, with broad systems experience including SAP, Ariba, and other ERP/procurement tools.
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
