To provide expert and consistent employee relations advice and support to managers across a unionised, multi‑site environment that includes production, supply chain, and commercial functions. Deliver effective and timely casework handling, support continuous improvement in ER practices, and contribute to data monitoring and policy development.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide expert ER advice to line managers on disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance matters
- Manage a portfolio of ER cases across operational and commercial functions, ensuring accurate records and legally sound outcomes
- Coach and guide managers to build capability and consistency in applying ER procedures, including drafting documentation and attending hearings where required
- Maintain accurate case records in the ER case management system and contribute to data analysis by identifying trends or areas of concern
- Track and report ER activity to support governance, planning, and continuous improvement across the business
- Apply ER policies and procedures consistently, highlighting gaps or inconsistencies and supporting harmonisation initiatives
- Support delivery of key projects such as policy rollouts, TUPE activity, and organisational change programmes
- Engage in training and development sessions to build ER knowledge and capability across the organisation
Experience and Key Attributes:
- Strong practical understanding of UK employment law and its application in workplace settings
- Confidence in advising and influencing managers to achieve fair and consistent outcomes
- Highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to frequently travel to UK sites
- Full UK working rights
- Experience working within unionised or production/commercial environments
- Familiarity with ER case management systems and processes
