Job Length: Permanent – Full Time

Working Hours: Average of 42 hours per week. Working on a 4 on (2 days and 2 nights), 4 off rotating shift pattern.

About the role: If you are interested in joining our journey, we are now recruiting for a Multi Skilled Engineer. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll play a key role in maintaining, improving and optimising our production assets. You’ll collaborate across engineering and production teams to keep our operation running safely, efficiently and reliably.

Role Responsibilities:

  • System optimisation — Work with engineering teams to improve performance, reduce downtime and drive technical improvements.
  • Mechanical & electrical maintenance — Diagnose and repair faults using advanced tools and techniques.
  • Safety & compliance — Ensure full adherence to LOTO, electrical safety and environmental standards, maintaining detailed CBM records.
  • Infrastructure support — Maintain site utilities and electrical distribution systems to ensure reliable operation.
  • Team collaboration — Partner with production teams and mentor apprentices, supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Lean practices — Support 5S, Kaizen and Autonomous Maintenance initiatives.
  • Condition monitoring — Conduct vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound and other predictive maintenance activities.

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • Recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification (HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • Experience in a multi‑skilled maintenance role within FMCG, manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Hands‑on CBM experience
  • Advantageous: certifications in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics or rotating machinery
  • Experience using CMMS systems
  • Strong mechanical fault‑finding skills
  • Fluent English (written & verbal)
  • UK working rights
