About The Role

As a Shift Team Leader at our Leeds facility, you will be responsible for leading manufacturing operations with a focus on safety, quality, and performance excellence. This pivotal role requires exceptional leadership skills to inspire and develop teams while ensuring customer satisfaction and company compliance in a safe environment. You will be the driving force behind operational excellence, promoting professional behaviours and embodying Britvic’s company values.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead safety initiatives with an 'audit-ready' philosophy, ensuring all team members adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental requirements while meeting established KPIs and maintaining proper PPE standards.
  • Drive quality excellence through adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and industry standards, ensuring products meet the highest quality levels through a 'Right First Time' approach.
  • Deliver operational performance targets including OEE, reliability, SKU attainment, and yield while supporting production planning to ensure on‑time delivery of customer requirements.
  • Manage and develop a diverse team of 5–15 employees, conducting regular performance reviews, creating tailored development plans, and fostering an inclusive environment where individuals can realise their potential.
  • Effectively manage costs through efficient use of materials, consumables, and labour while identifying opportunities for waste reduction aligned with Britvic’s planet targets.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives by identifying, defining, and solving complex operational challenges with a 'see it, own it, solve it' approach.
  • Ensure exceptional internal and external customer service to meet On Time In Full (OTIF) targets and site availability requirements.

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols, quality systems, and operational excellence methodologies.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience in performance management, including setting objectives, conducting appraisals, and developing talent.
  • Ability to work a 12‑hour per day, 24/6 annualised hours shift pattern as required by the business.
  • Commitment to continuous personal development and creating a culture of learning within the team.
