For soft drinks, Carlsberg Britvic’s brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Iced Tea and Rockstar Energy. With a strong national footprint, the Carlsberg Britvic business includes 5 production facilities and 16 logistics depots servicing customers up and down the UK.

About the role:

As Senior Credit Controller you will manage a sales-area ledger covering both credit and cash-term customers, ensuring all accounts remain within agreed credit limits. The role focuses on minimising financial risk while supporting sales growth, continually seeking improvements and best practice. You’ll take timely action on overdue debt and deductions, escalating any emerging risk issues to the Credit Manager to protect the business.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Maintain regular customer and stakeholder communication to resolve overdue balances and account issues.
  • Manage customer queries and claims within delegated limits, ensuring accurate updates to logs and trackers.
  • Review held orders, assess financial risk, and release or escalate in line with the authority matrix.
  • Maintain accurate master data and ensure GDPR-compliant housekeeping, including account closures.
  • Record clear, audit-ready notes in SAP and ensure overdue items are reflected in ledger reviews.
  • Manage daily credit activity, chase overdue debt, monitor risks, and administer payment plans and pro-formas.
  • Support team development by acting as a buddy/trainer to new and existing staff.
  • Assist the Credit Manager with accurate and timely month-end and ad-hoc reporting.

Experience & Key Attributes:

  • CICM Qualified
  • Experience in a senior credit controller role or finance experience in an FMCG business
  • Working knowledge of SAP, 365 Office is desired
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Confident working as part of a team, with the ability to use own initiative
  • Aptitude for problem solving in a fast-paced environment
