The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 Β£ per year.

Location: Northampton, NN1 1PZ

Job Length: 6 month secondment, ending 31st December 2026

Working Hours: 35 hours per week, working on a Monday to Friday basis.

About the role:

Looking to build a career in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)? Supporting key EHS programmes, audits and compliance activities, you'll play an important role in maintaining high standards across the organisation. Ideal for someone with experience in administration, compliance management, EHS or auditing who is keen to develop their expertise and grow their career in a specialist field.

Reporting to the EHS Specialist, this role will play a key part in our success journey, and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and coordination support to the central EHS function, ensuring the effective delivery of EHS programmes across the business.
  • Maintain audit action trackers for internal and ISO audits, monitoring progress and supporting timely closure of actions.
  • Manage EHS document control processes, ensuring records, policies and procedures are accurate, compliant and up to date.
  • Support legal and regulatory compliance activities by coordinating audits, documentation and follow-up actions.
  • Administer EHS systems and reporting tools, ensuring data accuracy, integrity and consistent use across sites.
  • Coordinate EHS meetings, events and communications, including scheduling, agendas and logistical support.
  • Support EHS integration and improvement projects, helping to embed consistent standards and governance across the organisation.
  • Act as a key link between EHS, operational teams and support functions, ensuring effective communication and information sharing.
  • Produce and support end-of-month reporting, compliance tracking and programme governance activities.

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • Strong administrative, organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience working with data, reporting systems, governance processes or compliance-related activities.
  • High level of IT literacy, including Excel, SharePoint and other business reporting systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation, reporting and system management.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams and sites.
  • Experience in an administrative, governance or coordination role; experience within EHS, compliance or audit environments is advantageous.
  • Collaborative, proactive and process-driven, with a passion for maintaining high standards and continuous improvement.
  • IOSH, NEBOSH qualification or knowledge of EHS systems, compliance and/or auditing desirable.
