Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi-beverage supplier in the UK and is home to iconic beers & soft drinks, including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, 1664, Poretti and Brooklyn, as well as Hobgoblin and Wainwright. Soft drinks brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence, along with licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK (Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Iced Tea, Rockstar Energy). With a strong national footprint, Carlsberg Britvic operates 6 production facilities and 16 logistics depots servicing customers across the UK. As these two companies come together, our common goal is to ensure our people succeed.

We are now recruiting for a Customer Development Manager to join us, developing and implementing strategic plans to grow Carlsberg Britvic’s positioning within the given geography. Reporting to the Regional Controller.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute customer plans in region to optimise total Volume, NR and GP and GP / HL.
  • Meet agreed business objectives in new and existing accounts by maximizing profit and distribution to increase throughputs of our products.
  • Build and develop relationships with customers, wholesalers and stakeholders to create mutually beneficial business plans.
  • Achieve targets for profit and sales growth over a budgeted time frame in line with regional objectives, expanding share, range and distribution.
  • Develop and deliver robust account plans for the next 1–3 years that drive growth (including strategy, tactics and promotions by customer).
  • Conduct full evaluation of investment and promotional activity using Value Management principles and tools.
  • Manage and optimise debt risk and cash flow; track customers through My District.
  • Use FIT to help generate a plan that delivers annual objectives.

  • Strong understanding of financial concepts and value management across relevant channels.

  • Understanding of processes from planning through invoicing.
