Working Hours: 42 hours contract. Working 12 hour shifts, on a days and nights rotating 4 on, 4 off shift pattern. 4 x days (7am to 7pm), 4 x off, 4 x nights (7pm to 7am), 4 x off.

About The Role:
Join Carlsberg Britvic as a Technical Operator and play a key role in producing some of the UK's most iconic drinks brands. This is a practical role for someone who enjoys working with machinery, solving problems, and improving efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll be responsible for equipment, support continuous improvement initiatives, and help develop team capability, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to build their technical skills and grow their career within manufacturing.
Role Responsibilities:
- Operate and control production equipment to deliver safety, quality, efficiency and performance targets.
- Carry out first-line preventative maintenance, routine inspections, diagnostics and lubrication activities to improve equipment reliability.
- Complete product and plant changeovers efficiently, minimising downtime and supporting production schedules.
- Conduct quality checks and accurately record and report results in line with site standards.
- Manage and reconcile material usage and wastage within designated production areas.
- Ensure compliance with all Quality, Food Safety, Health & Safety and manufacturing standards.
- Utilise SAP and other business systems to manage inventory, product traceability and production records.
- Support continuous improvement by participating in asset care activities, performance improvements and cross-functional projects.
- Support team capability by sharing knowledge and training colleagues on equipment and operational standards.
Experience And Key Attributes:
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Good mechanical knowledge with experience of first-line maintenance, equipment care and problem solving.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, using initiative to resolve issues and maintain performance standards.
- Capable of performing well in multiple production areas and workflows while adjusting to changing needs.
- Effective communicator who works collaboratively with production, engineering and operational teams.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency, quality and operational excellence.
- Self-motivated, accountable and safety-focused, being responsible for delivering results and supporting the development of others.
