Carlisle Support Services are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Receptionist to fulfill duties at our client Jaguar Land Rover at Merica Park in Swadlincote and surrounding sites. Part of your contract would be to act as resilience for JLR BAC Hams Hall. Should BAC need reception cover, you would be expected to redivert from Mercia Park to BAC to deliver that support.

Monday – Thursday 06:00 – 15:00
Friday – 06:00 – 14:00
Hours: 44 hours per week

Requirements:

  • Ability to work across multiple sites, adapt to new environments, systems, and methods of working
  • Applicants must hold a full driving licence, including own transport as driving is an essential part of the role

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Reception Team to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Provide and deliver a Customer First Reception experience
  • Manage all visitors and customers to the Jaguar Land Rover site, ensuring they are welcomed, their needs are listened to, and they are met by their Host beyond the reception area
  • Ensure visitors are aware of site rules and guidelines including relevant H&S information
  • Book visitors in and out according to site protocol
  • Deliver friendly, efficient customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere
  • Use in-depth knowledge of company products and services to support customers
  • Fulfill all reasonable visitor requests to ensure comfort, satisfaction, and safety, offering hospitality where appropriate
  • Operate a reception front desk, answer calls professionally, and direct calls accordingly
  • Maintain a calm attitude under stress and prevent emotion from affecting communication
  • Check visitor IDs, book visitors via the JLR system, and process vehicle passes
  • Provide telephone, verbal, and Microsoft Office skills, and handle pressure effectively
  • Prioritize and organize tasks efficiently
  • Manage databases, spreadsheets, and documents on OneDrive
  • Assist with the monthly onboarding process and arrange meeting rooms via calendar bookings
  • Follow security procedures, act as Fire Marshall, and be responsible for evacuation during emergencies
  • Maintain a clean and secure reception area
  • Document and communicate actions and irregularities to ensure team continuity
  • Contribute to team efforts and demonstrate flexibility
  • Complete full induction, ongoing training, and career development
